That 25% figure — sitting inside an industry where 96% claim to measure — represents something significant. The published benchmark averages it away. You're left with a number that describes a population, not a condition.

If your CAC is rising while content volume grows, if MQLs arrive but don't convert to pipeline, benchmarking against CMI averages will not locate the problem. It will suggest you're performing normally — because within the aggregate sample, you are. The benchmark confirms you're not alone. It does nothing to explain why the outcome isn't following the activity.
